Law Suits: Fashion + Food + Music = F.U.N. Times All Around for a Great Cause

I don’t know a single person that’s not been affected by the devastation of losing a loved one to cancer. An astounding 80,800 Canadians will die of cancer this year! WTF!!!  I myself saw my brother succumb to cancer just a little over a year ago.  He was only 55. Maggie, one of the 98 partners, lost her mom when her youngest was still in diapers, and our other partner Andrea lost her father-in-law before he had the chance to meet his grandson.

Julie and Keri from Parslow Tyas Law had both recently lost close family members to this atrocious disease too and were determined to do something about it.   These phenomenal ladies are not only partners in law, but also in their fight to help end cancer once and for all through their organization Law Suits. So when I was e-troduced to Julie & Keri earlier this year and asked to take part in helping to raise awareness and funds for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, there was zero hesitation.

They came up with “Threaded by the Cause”, a fashion show charity event featuring some of Toronto’s most reputable lawyers strutting their stuff on the runway. Ninety-Eight will proudly be dressing some of the 25 esteemed lawyers moonlighting as models for this fun-filled night.  Styled by ET Canada's Alicia McNamara and yours truly, the fashion show maintains an eco-friendly, slow fashion focus, which is right up our alley!

In addition to the highly anticipated runway show, Law Suits will also include an outstanding lineup of musical talent featuring Miss Emily and The Malones.  Plus, you’ll dance to the sounds of DJ Cozmic Cat, while you enjoy delicious appetizers graciously donated by Toronto's hottest caterer, The Food Dudes.  A killer silent auction, which includes a personal wardrobe consult and gift card from my boutique, Shopgirls, as well as some other great items/services will be offered, not to mention outdoor food trucks carrying snacks next to the heated outdoor patio.  Oh and let’s not forget the craft beer from The Four Degrees Brewing Company (where a portion of all drink proceeds will be donated to the Cause).

You’re going to want to check this out!  Here are the deets for this amazing event!
